New Zealand Paragliding Open 2018
28 January - 4 February
The NZ Paragliding Open will be held on flying sites in the Wanaka area. Entry to this FAI Cat-2 competition is limited, and based on current paragliding ladder rankings.
Competitors can expect everything… lakes, glaciers, open valleys, steep mountains, native forest, extreme wilderness. The diversity is what makes flying in Wanaka so special. Pilots will be given courses (tasks) of around 40-80km, depending on the conditions of the day.
Competition organiser Mark Hardman and his team are working on options for the public to spectate and learn more about paragliding. Watch this space for more information as it comes to hand.
